What you should know about this indicator
This indicator is calculated as the ratio of the population receiving cash benefits under at least one of multiple contingencies/social protection functions or actively contributing to at least one social security scheme to the total population. The different benefits are aimed at children, unemployed persons, older persons, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, newborns, work-injury victims and the poor and the vulnerable.
